Cadillac Debuts Project GTP Hypercar 
Cadillac has debuted its Project GTP Hypercar at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Project GTP Hypercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,000 horsepower. The race car features a carbon fiber body and an advanced aerodynamic design. Cadillac says the Project GTP will be the fastest and most advanced car it has ever produced.

In 2021, Cadillac released information about their Lyriq crossover. The Lyriq is an all-electric vehicle that was the beginning of Cadillac's change over to an all-electric future. According to global VP Rory Harvey, Cadillac will be transitioned over completely by the year 2030. This is a similar time frame as many other brands that have recently announced the details of their all-electric futures. GM is going to transition by 2035.

Cadillac announced this past August that they have plans to release their first hybrid prototype race car for the 2023 model year. This is a V-Series prototype that is going to be driven at the 2023 Le Mans Race. Cadillac hasn’t been part of the Le Mans competition in nearly 20 years. Dallara has created this LMDh-V.R race car in hopes of dominating the competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech Series.
