Cadillac currently makes one electric vehicle, which is the SUV called the Lyriq. The Lyriq is the first of its kind. With the Lyriq, you'll get an impressive range and EPA mileage ratings. The Cadillac Lyriq is available with two separate drivetrains, and it comes packed with creature comforts and amenities. The Lyriq is equipped with Super Cruise, a new hands-free semi-autonomous driving system offered by Cadillac. The Lyriq also has a 19-speaker sound system, premium leather seats, and other high-end amenities reminiscent of Cadillac's other fan-favorite vehicle.

Even though eco-friendly cars are generally collectively referred to as "electric," there are three different types of electric powertrains. Electric vehicles are powered entirely by electricity from a battery and electric motor. Some cars also have regenerative braking to improve their electric power capabilities. Hybrid vehicles use a combination of a gasoline engine and a separate electric motor for power. Plug-in hybrids have a battery pack, electric motor, and engine. They run on electric power until or unless gasoline power is needed.

The Cadillac Lyriq can travel a respectable 300 miles using electricity alone. That covers the distance from Las Vegas, NV, to Los Angeles, CA. The Lyriq can stop and recharge at up to 1,000 charging stations across the country.

It takes about two hours to recharge your Cadillac's battery with a Level 2 (240V) power outlet at home. On the road, you can charge the battery in a little under an hour with a fast-charging DC power port.

Cadillac has yet to confirm the towing capabilities of the Lyriq.
