Cadillac Formula 1 Team Unites F1 Stars, Bottas and Pérez, to Lead Debut Season

The formidable Cadillac Formula 1 Team has revealed an exciting new lineup! The renowned racing outfit will be joined by Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, who will lead Cadillac's Formula 1 effort through the 2026 season. Though their backgrounds differ, both newcomers are seasoned racing veterans with many Grand Prix starts and podiums between them.

Who Is Sergio Pérez?

Sergio Pérez is a talented race car driver with six Grand Prix victories to his name. On track, he's known for consistently scoring points and for his knowledge of tires. Pérez raced in Formula 1 through 2024 and will drive for Cadillac beginning in the 2026 season. His résumé includes finishing as runner-up in the 2023 Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship, and he has accumulated six Grand Prix championships over nearly 15 seasons.

Who Is Valtteri Bottas?

Valtteri Bottas is another notable figure in the world of auto racing. Bottas is a 10X Grand Prix winner — an undeniably impressive record. He has driven for well-known teams, including Mercedes and Alfa Romeo. A Finnish driver, Bottas has worked professionally for both Mercedes and Cadillac, signing with Mercedes in 2017 and with Cadillac beginning in 2026. He brings years of top-level experience, technical know-how, and strong racecraft. Bottas started racing karts at a young age, went on to study automotive engineering, and completed his military service—experiences he credits with shaping his disciplined approach to the sport.
