Specs at a Glance

The 2019 Cadillac CTS and the 2019 Cadillac CT6 are comfortable and luxurious sedans. The Cadillac CTS comes in several trim levels. It belongs to the third generation of CTS models that launched in 2014. There are no significant changes in style or technology to note in 2019. However, the CTS still ranks among the top five in luxury sedans. The latest CT6 features elegant exterior styling, a well-equipped interior, and plenty of modern technology to keep the driver and occupants satisfied. Precise steering and handling is a strong suit of the CTS, which offers substantial power capabilities. While the CTS doesn't get many changes for the latest model year, the CT6 is quite the opposite. In contrast, the CT6 debuts a refresh of the exterior.

Performance

The 2019 Cadillac CTS might look like a quaint luxury sedan, but it has tremendous power underneath the hood. The CTS can be ordered with one of three engines. Even at the base level, the engine provides plenty of zip. The base engine has a 2.0L capacity. It can create up to 268 HP and 295 LB-FT of torque. Additionally, there are two more engines available to power the CTS. The second is a 3.6L V6 engine that generates a maximum of 335 HP and 285 LB-FT of torque. The top engine produces the most power at a maximum of 420 HP. This engine's peak torque capacity is 430 LB-FT. Other performance-enhancing elements in the CTS are high-performance Brembo brakes in the front and a variety of driver-select modes (including Sport and Snow) that give the driver maximum control. Precision steering and weight distribution ensure the CTS stays in control even when you're traveling at higher speeds. The 2019 CT6 comes with a standard 3.6L V6 that pumps out 335 hp and 284 LB-FT of torque in the lowest trim. The two higher trims feature the standard 3.0L Turbo Twin V6 engine with 404 hp and 400 LB-FT of torque.

Appearance

At first glance, you'll see right away that the CTS and the CT6 are striking cars. The 2019 CTS exudes luxury and elegance all around with a sculpted inlaid hood and signature headlamps. The two-tone side mirrors with LED turn signals enhance the CTS's appearance and make it more visible to other drivers on the road. Active grille shutters, which are located behind the grille, improve the sedan's aerodynamics. In the back, the CTS gets an integrated rear spoiler that contains nearly 50 LED lights. All around, the car is designed for aerodynamics and aesthetics. Chrome accents, a polished shell, and an equally contoured and carefully-crafted exterior make the CT6 just as glamorous as the CTS. Options are available for giving both a custom finish.

Features

Both the CTS and the CT6 come loaded with features. Premium leather seats and wood trim adorn the interior of the CTS and provide hours' worth of comfort. A personalized Cadillac User Experience multimedia center with a user-friendly interface and a driver's support information center are other notable interior features. Other standout cabin amenities are ambient interior lighting and remote start. Available amenities include a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a 10-speaker Bose Surround Sound system, wireless charging, and a backup camera with a mirror. A combination of leather seats, lightweight aluminum, and solid wood accents give the cabin of the CT6 an equally upscale look.
