2023 Cadillac XT4 vs 2023 Cadillac XT5

Cadillac, one of America's original luxury brands, has dedicated a lot of its engineering efforts in recent years to creating sophisticated family SUVs. Among Cadillac's lineup, the XT4 and XT5 are both crucial models. The XT4 is a small SUV with a single-engine option, while the XT5 is a compact SUV.

Performance

The XT4's performance is simple and effective, powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. With 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the XT4 delivers exciting performance across all trim levels. Both models feature a 9-speed automatic transmission. Opting for the 2023 Cadillac XT5 gives you a choice of two engines. The model's standard 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The second engine choice on the XT5 is Cadillac's 3.6L V6, which generates 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.

Appearance

Cadillac's XT4 and XT5 are meticulously designed and polished SUVs. The XT4 has slightly longer LED headlamps that are positioned higher on the SUV's sides. The 2023 XT5, on the other hand, has a shorter hood line and thinner LED headlamps. The base model of the XT5 features 18" multi-spoke alloy wheels with a bright silver finish, while the XT4 has 18" 10-spoke alloy wheels with a bright silver finish as standard. Both models have tinted windows, but the XT5 also has active aero shutters.

Features

Although there are minor variations in the luxurious interiors of the XT4 and XT5, they can significantly impact families seeking their next SUV. The XT4's most extensive audio system is a Bose Centerpoint surround sound system, while the XT5 comes with a Bose premium system. Both models have unique upholstery as well. For example, the 2023 XT5 Premium Luxury trim comes with leather seats in Jet Black, Cirrus, Sedona Sauvage, Maple Sugar, or Kona Brown, with mini-perforated inserts or perforated chevron inserts as an option. In contrast, the XT4 has Inteluxe seats in Jet Black with Cinnamon shades, which is not available on the XT5.
