Specs at a Glance
The Cadillac Escalade ESV is the largest SUV by size from Cadillac. However, it's also an SUV with an equally impressive personality and charisma. In 2021, the Escalade ESV has some refreshments to be even larger and more prominent than before. This year, the ESV receives a full design refresh with unique lighting elements on the front end that make it more stylish and safer to drive at night. A range of wheels is available for the ESV. It is also over eight inches longer than the previous model, translating to more interior capacity. More technology is also added to the cabin, and the Cadillac ESV has semi-autonomous driving technology in 2021. The first trim in the lineup for the Cadillac Escalade ESV is the Luxury. The Luxury Platinum, a higher-end trim level, adds more standard components and comes with premium leather materials in its cabin.
Performance
You have the option to get either a gasoline or diesel engine for both trim levels of the Cadillac ESV in 2021. The standard engine for the Luxury and Luxury Platinum is a V8 gasoline engine with six cylinders. This engine has rear-wheel drive and available four-wheel drive for better handling and traction on various road surfaces. At a minimum, power output with the ESV's base engine is 420 HP. It has a total of 460 LB-FT in torque output as well. If you want to maximize fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance, you have the option to get a V6 diesel engine with a 3.0L displacement. The diesel engine has a power output of nearly 280 HP. Its torque output is the equivalent to what you'll get with the gasoline engine. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes with both engines. The ESV will tow 8,100 pounds fully equipped.
Appearance
Standard exterior features with the base trim level of the ESV include LED headlights and 20-inch wheels. This year, the ESV also has a more prominent front grille and an updated look with more chrome accents along with a longer wheelbase this year. Larger 22-inch wheels and a sunroof are added to the Luxury Platinum trim level, which also has retractable side steps.
Features
The 2021 Cadillac ESV Luxury is equipped with parking sensors in front and rear. It also has automated parking technology. Remote start is standard, and you'll get a hands-free liftgate. A heated steering wheel is also included, along with heated leather seats. The Luxury Platinum has satellite radio, WiFi, and massaging front seats.
