What's New For the 2021 Cadillac CT4 & CT4-V?

The CT4 debuted last year with a bang, dazzling many with its agile handling, the energetic lineup of engines, and a robust list of premium features befitting of a luxury brand. And now, this agile, sporty machine is back with more tech and safety features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, the driver-assistance feature, Buckle to Drive are standard, and you can get a trial subscription with the SiriusXM 360L platform for more than 200 satellite radio channels.

2021 CT4 & CT4-V Trims and Features

The 2021 Cadillac CT4 is split into Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, and CT4-V trim levels. Two rows of synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and front-seat power-adjustability are standard. Enhancements like powered seatback bolster adjustment appear at the Sport level, unique with its sports-style leather-wrapped steering wheel. Unique to the CT4-V is wireless device charging, a rotary controller as a secondary way to execute infotainment functions, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system.

2021 Cadillac CT4 & CT4-V Horsepower

The 2021 Cadillac CT4 has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque and is pinned to an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, as the performance-optimized model, the CT4-V gets a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder, which outputs 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque for much greater acceleration and is paired with a smoother-operating 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Performance is also enhanced at the CT4-V level with a tighter suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, and limited-slip rear differential. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with the option to go for an all-wheel drive system instead for better performance on slippery surfaces. With the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and rear-wheel drive, the CT4 peaks at 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway; these are some of the best numbers in the compact luxury sedan class.

Cadillac CT4 & CT4-V Safety

A high-definition rearview camera, cruise control, and Teen Driver mode provide driver assistance. Eight airbags are on board to cushion and restrain passengers in the event of a crash. For more driver assistance, spring for at least the Premium Luxury, which adds automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, rear parking sensors to enhance the rearview camera's functionality, and LED reflective windshield collision alert. Also added is safety alert seat technology.
