What's New For The 2018 Cadillac Escalade?
Cadillac brings back all the features that make it one of the most
luxurious car brands on the market in the 2018 Escalade, along with some
new features. The most well-known change to the 2018 Cadillac Escalade
is the 10-Speed Automatic Transmission. This transmission showcases
intelligent electronically controlled shifting that provides a smooth
transition between gears to make your journey unshakable. Cadillac has
also improved the usability of this model by adding width and brighter
lighting to the center console and repositioning seat memory switches to
a more convenient door panel location.
2018 Cadillac Escalade Trims & Features
The 2018 Cadillac Escalade is available in Standard, Luxury, Premium
Luxury, and Platinum trims. Each one of these trims can be upgraded to
the Escalade ESV, which essentially allows for more cargo and backseat
legroom than the traditional Escalade models. All of these models come
with the basic features of the Escalade, such as Automatic Park Assist,
10-Speed Automatic Transmission, and Magnetic Ride Control.Â
The Luxury trim comes with upgraded 22" dual spoke tires,
the Driver Awareness Package, HUD Display, and Theft-Deterrent Package.
The Premium Luxury comes with all the Luxury features as well as Driver
Assist Package, Rear-Seat Entertainment System, and Selectable 4-Wheel
Drive. The Platinum model comes with all the features of the Premium
Luxury trim as well as Semi-Aniline Leather, 18-Way Adjustable Seats,
Integrated Center Console Cooler, Power-Retractable Assist Steps,
Illuminated Platinum Door Sills, and a Unique Chrome Grill. Â
2018 Cadillac Escalade Horsepower
The 2018 Escalade is sporting a 6.2L 420 horsepower V8 engine that gives you the power you need to get anywhere you desire. This model features an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission that effortlessly shifts between gears giving you a smooth transition you'll never feel. The Escalade has the towing power to bring along 8,300 lbs of your must-have toys. This model comes with 4-Wheel drive to allow you to maneuver smoothly regardless of what road you're on or not on. The AUTO mode allows for easy switching from 2WD to 4WD during your daily driving. Other modes available are 4HI and 4LOW which will allow you to maintain traction and handle those challenging road conditions.Â
2018 Cadillac Escalade Safety
When it comes to the safety of you and your passengers, Cadillac has you
covered. There is an abundance of safety features on this 2018
Escalade, including Rear Camera Mirror with built-in washing system,
Head-Up Windshield Display, Surround Vision, Lane Keep Assist, and Side
Blind Zone Alert. All of these safety features are encased in a steel
alloy safety cage that will protect you from unexpected collisions.
Cadillac is upping the standard of Rear Cameras with their
new Rear Camera Mirror. The rear-view mirror in the 2018 Cadillac
Escalades gives the driver a brilliant HD clear view of everything that
lies behind the vehicle from the viewpoint of the back window. This
means you don't have to look around the back seats and passengers to see
what is behind you. Although with a simple toggle, you can easily
switch back to regular view if you like checking up on your passengers.
In addition, the camera comes with a built-in washing system that keeps
the lens clear from debris that could obstruct your view.
A unique feature produced by the makers of the
Escalade is the Head-Up Windshield Display. This feature allows you to
customize your front windshield view will full-color display projections
of the information you want the most. You can opt to display your
speed, navigation, or tachometer on the front windshield so you'll never
have to take your eyes off of the road again.
Every 2018 Escalade comes with Surround
Vision, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Zone Alert. These features will
assist you in having more sight around your vehicle for effortless
driving. Surround Vision gives you that bird's eye view perspective of
your vehicle so you can see what is surrounding it from any angle. Lane
Keep Assist will alert you with audio and seat pulsing when your car
starts to drift into another lane when it senses you're not actively
steering. Blind Zone Alert is the last piece to the puzzle that will
light up the warning icon on the side mirrors to advise you of rapidly
approaching vehicles in your blind spots when changing lanes.Â
