2018 CTS-V

What's New for the 2018 CADILLAC CTS-V?

The 2018 Cadillac CTS-V is classier, faster, and more advanced than ever. Dubbed "THE SUPER SEDAN", the nickname is not an understatement-being capable of 0 to 60 mph in a truly impressive 3.7 seconds. Many improvements have been made involving performance, safety, and driver interactivity with the also updated infotainment system.

Features and Highlights

The CTS-V comes as a standard trim high-end vehicle with more options than you can think of and some extras available. Starting from the ground up, it's hard to miss the staggered wheels with extra wide tires. This Cadillac sports a set of 19 inch wheels (9.5 inches up front and 10.5 in the rear) wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, grabbing the ground with confidence. The body styling is impressive, to say the least. It features a domed Carbon Fiber hood with a functional vent that helps to cool down the massive Supercharged 6.2L V8 that hides under. Also functional are the detailed fender vents and moving to the back you can admire the aggressive dual twin exhaust pipes. Opting for the Carbon Fiber Package will grant you a full carbon fiber front lip and tail wing. Performance is enhanced by the standard Magnetic Ride Control, Electronic Limited-Slip Differential, ZF Premium steering system, and even Launch Control for those days on the track. The driving style can be switched with the touch of a button-from Sport to Touring, to Icy among others. Starting up the vehicle you will instantly find yourself mesmerized by the 12.3-inch LCD reconfigurable display, followed above by a Full-color (HUD) that shows your speed and other information projected on the windshield. In the center console, you will find the 8" touchscreen infotainment system serving the Navigation, Device Mirroring, and Bose® audio systems. The interior is Handcrafted using high-end, Semi-Aniline leather with microfiber inserts. You can opt for a beautiful set of front Recaro® racing seats if you wish to further upgrade for performance.

Cadillac CTS-V Horsepower

The CTS-V is often nicknamed the four-door Corvette, and there are two reasons for that. The Supercharged 6.2L LT4 power plant is borrowed directly from the Corvette-producing a whopping 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. Also borrowed from the Corvette is the well-engineered 8-speed automatic transmission which is paired with titanium paddle shifters. The super sedan is capable of reaching 60 mph in 3.7 seconds or less from a complete stop, reaching a top speed of 200 miles per hour.

Modern Safety Technology

Safety has always been a top priority at Cadillac and this sedan is no exception. Forward Collision Alert is part of it, with adjustable distance to increase safety even further. Following Distance Indicator will also alert you when getting too near to the vehicle in front. Other standard features are Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Safety Alert Seat. A discrete vibration on the driver's seat will alert you if you begin to swerve out of your lane, vibrating toward the side where the car is moving. This alert also works for possible blind spots created in a case where you might be pulling out of a parking space at an angle, or a similar situation. Another feature that adds to its safety is the rearview mirror, which displays HD video from a rear-facing camera, eliminating blind spots from the conventional mirror at the touch of a button.
