V-Series Blackwing

Getting To Know Cadillac's Lineup of V-Series Blackwing Vehicles

Cadillac crafts some of the most iconic and luxurious vehicles that can be found on the roads today. They have recently expanded their lineup to now include high-performance vehicles, like the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing. The Blackwing models increase the handling and driving characteristics of the already powerful V-Series vehicles.

The standard transmission on both the CT4-V Blackwing and the CT5-V Blackwing is a 6-speed manual. The manual transmission is ideal if you are looking for the most driver engagement possible, but you can also go with the 10-speed automatic if you want a more relaxed experience behind the wheel.

The 2.7L engine found in the CT4-V is upgraded to a 3.6L twin-turbo V6 in the Blackwing model. This increases the power from 325 hp to a whopping 472 hp. The larger powertrain also increases the torque from 380 lb-ft to 445 lb-ft. The change from the 2.7L engine to the 3.6L engine also increases your 0-60 mph acceleration to 3.8 seconds. The CT4-V Blackwing comes with magnetic ride control and Brembo brakes as standard. Overall, the CT4-V Blackwing is a capable vehicle around town and on the racetrack.

The CT5-V Blackwing also comes with an upgraded powertrain. The standard CT5-V is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 which makes 360 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. The CT5-V Blackwing comes with the legendary 6.2L supercharged V8 that GM has used in many of its most impressive sports cars. This high output V8 is hand-built in Bowling Green and is known for its reliability. This powertrain provides 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful vehicle Cadillac has ever produced. This is enough power to rocket the CT5-V Blackwing to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and it gives the vehicle a top speed of 200 mph. If you want to push your CT5-V Blackwing to its limits, we recommend getting it equipped with optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
